Ah, the Little Black Dress! A black dress is truly versatile in the sense that you can wear it to an office party or for a night out with friends. Black is that classic color that’s the easiest to work with. Work it well, and you won’t go wrong there, hon! Oozing elegance and charm, the LBD can be paired with some specific types of accessories to achieve the desired look.
How to style your LBD? Don’t worry! I got your back. I have collaborated with Knick Knack Nook which provides you an entire range of quirky and trending accessories to go with any of your outfits. The best part? You can find incredible accessories in any budget, so it’s a great way to stretch your wardrobe and save money.
Look out for some styling tips at the end of each look. 😉
LOOK 1– Worker Girl!
Here is a look I am sporting for every WORKER GIRL who is urban andchic. The Worker girl is any modern girl out there who loves fashion and is in charge of her life.
I added a plain white formal coat and a skirt over my LBD, to get a monochrome look. Keeping it classy, I accessorized minimally with golden and white.
Styling Tip 1.0-
Long necklaces are a hot trend. The long vertical lines make you look taller and leaner!
Remember to keep it low for the meetings, but you can create drama with one chunky beaded necklace for brunches or a lunch date.
LOOK 2- Summer Look!
Summer look always has a play with colours. What could be exciting enough, if not a statement necklace. Plain dresses or tops are the best option to proportionate the look with such statement accessories. I tried keeping it casual and simple, to let the accessories create all the drama. 😉
PS- I’m in love with the ring!
Styling Tip 2.0-
The more basic the outfit, the bolder your accessories can be. Accessories can add interest to a plain look, balancing everything out. You can ace this look for a movie date or casual day out.
LOOK 3- Indo-Western
The neon colours add a fun element to your outfit and perk up your entire look. Rather than going casual again, I tried pulling off an Indo-western look by revamping my Dupatta into a shrug, more like a vest.
You can DIY. See my past post on how to make your own-
Styling Tip 3.0-
Remember, not to overdo it. While going for statement earrings, say no to neck pieces and vice-versa. Moreover, try avoiding hand accessories too.
LOOK 4- Boho-Chic
One thing about this look I absolutely love is, the choker. I mean just look at it. Moreover, these hand accessories are just amazing. Especially the midi rings. It is one of my favorite looks.
I didn’t add another piece of clothing since the accessories are enough to grab all the attention. LBD is just a backdrop to make them stand out.
Styling Tip 4.0-
Be careful with proportions. If you’re wearing an outfit that is big and voluminous, scale back on the accessories. If you’re wearing something sleek, you can go a little bigger and bolder with the accessories.
